Our bespoke machines effectively remove rubber deposits left by landing aircraft, even on grooved Marshall asphalt.
As industry leading road and runway maintenance specialists we have developed our very own machines, specifically designed to removing rubber deposits. MERLIN and OSPREY work at very controlled pressures of up to 3000bar to ensure that even the most challenging rubber deposits are removed effectively and efficiently. Water pressures are achieved by one of the latest generation of URACA pumps, renowned for their reliability.
Each machine features oscillating cleaning heads with multiple nozzles to gently remove rubber deposits from runway touchdown zones. Thorough testing of our machines has proven that they provide more complete and controlled removal of rubber than lower pressured machines. Both MERLIN and OSPREY can carry enough clean water and debris from cleaning to deliver 7 hours of continuous operation. The computerised cleaning heads run parallel to the runway grooves to strip all of the deposited rubber, whilst ensuring no damage at all is caused to the runway surface.
