Crack & Joint Sealing

Centre joint fatigue and fretting has always posed problems to many a pavement engineer. We are all aware that it is imperative within the pavement makeup to prevent water ingress, which leads to accelerated failure of the surface.

Crack and joint sealing is a solution which effectively repairs and seals surfaces using a hot applied flexible polymerized bituminous binder system. This system is primarily used to effectively treat cracks in order to prevent the further deterioration into surface potholes. It can also be used for utility reinstatements with overbanding to seal new joints.

With the ongoing development of new materials and equipment now available through our partnership with our trusted suppliers, there are many benefits, such as reduced road closure times and costs along with faster curing, allowing us to extend the life of the pavement surface and reduce maintenance costs.

Our high quality, flexible polymerized bituminous binder system is BBA HAPAS approved and has been specifically designed to accommodate road movement whist resisting future cracking. As a result we can now extend the pavement life for several years without having to do expensive inlays along the centre joints.
